Chi-Reflexology Sessions with Liz Morland

What is chi-reflexology?

(and why does it work so well?)

A more precise, more powerful kind of reflexology

If you've tried reflexology before and felt it was pleasant but not particularly transformative, chi-reflexology may be a different experience altogether.

Traditional reflexology works across all the reflexes of the feet in a broadly systematic way. Chi-reflexology works differently. Rather than following a set sequence, it listens to what your body is communicating — and responds precisely to what it finds.

Developed by Moss Arnold through decades of study in Classical Chinese Medicine, chi-reflexology combines clinical reflexology with acupressure and the ancient energy principles of Classical Chinese Medicine. The result is a treatment that is lighter in touch, more targeted in technique, and — in my experience — significantly more effective than standard reflexology.

I switched to practising chi-reflexology because I noticed the difference in my clients almost immediately. Symptoms that had been slow to shift began to move. Chronic conditions that had been present for years started to soften. I haven't looked back.

What actually happens in a therapy session

I work on your feet, ankles and lower legs — gently applying pressure to specific reflex points, energy pathways (meridians) and organ chi points. The treatment is lighter than you might expect. There is no deep or uncomfortable pressure. What chi-reflexology offers instead is precision — working specific points that your body is telling me need attention, rather than working everything in turn.

Before I begin, I take time to understand what's going on for you. I listen to your symptoms, ask questions, and let that guide the entire session. No two sessions are the same, even for the same person — because the body is always in a different state, and a good chi-reflexology treatment responds to that.

During a session, clients commonly notice:

  • A sense of warmth or gentle tingling moving through the body
  • Deep physical relaxation — muscles letting go in a way that feels different to ordinary rest
  • Emotional release — sometimes unexpected, always welcome
  • A drifting, drowsy feeling as the nervous system settles
  • A sense of heaviness in the limbs, followed by lightness afterwards

What can Chi-Reflexology help with?

Chi-reflexology works on four levels simultaneously — physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. This is what makes it so versatile. It isn't targeted at one symptom in isolation; it supports the whole system in returning to balance, which is why people often notice improvements they weren't expecting.

Conditions I see respond particularly well include:

Lymphoedema and fluid retention — chi-reflexology techniques applied through the feet and lower leg can actively support the lymphatic system, helping to reduce fluid build-up and ease the discomfort of swelling.

Migraines and chronic headaches — many clients find that regular sessions reduce both the frequency and intensity of migraines. The treatment works to address the underlying tension patterns and circulatory imbalances that often contribute.

Stress, anxiety and burnout — the nervous system responds quickly and noticeably to chi-reflexology.

Hormonal health and menstrual problems — including painful or irregular cycles, perimenopause and menopause symptoms. The treatment supports the endocrine system in regulating itself more effectively.

Chronic pain — including back pain, joint pain, arthritis and long-term musculoskeletal conditions.
